Time for Spring cleaning? When cleaning out your cabinets, don’t throw out those reusable water bottles! The students at Our Lady of Miracles in Haiti can use them! The students now have access to clean water and would love to have new or gently used water bottles so they can carry clean drinking water with them. What a great way to give new purpose to the bottles you no longer need! The water bottle collection will take place after all the Masses the weekend of May 19-20. You can drop them off in the boxes in the narthex.
Thanks to everyone who participated in the annual First Grade Bake Sale! They raised $491.62 for the Room In The Inn ministry at St. Matthew Church.
The SMS Spirit Store will be open Wednesday, May 16th 7:30-3:30. Come shop the Summer Clearance! Now is your last chance to pick up something for Dad before Fathers’ Day too!

The Lost and Found box is overflowing. Cool mornings and warm afternoons lead to many lost jackets, so take a look to see if your child made it home with theirs.

Brilliant Sky Toys is located at 1705 Mallory Lane in Brentwood. For more information and to RSVP, please contact Jamie Vallecorsa at adacorsa@bellsouth.net or 662-0617.
If your child has medication in the school clinic, don’t forget to stop by and pick it up sometime this month. Medications not picked up will be disposed of at the end of the school year.
As the end of the year approaches, please review the policy on lunch accounts in the Student Handbook on page 14. Unused lunch card balances will be:
a) rolled over to the next year if there is a family member attending the next school year.
b) refunded if the balance is more than $10 AND there is no family member attending SMS the next school year.
c) forfeited if the balance is less than $10 AND there is no family member attending SMS the next school year.

Learning in the summer can be fun at Camp St. Cecilia
Who says learning during the summer can’t be fun? At Camp St. Cecilia this summer, SCA teachers are turning geometry lessons into activities with origami and construction. They are also bringing the poems we all loved as children from Dr. Seuss and Shel Silverstein to life in a new poetry camp. Fun with Geometry is the week of June 25 from 1-4 p.m. each day for girls rising into grades 4-6. Longtime SCA geometry teacher Susie Schultheiss will lead the camp with her more than 20 years of experience in teaching geometry. So come have fun with polygons and explore trigonometry. The cost is $120. Dr. Robert Collins, SCA’s English department co-chair, will lead campers in reading, performing and discussing poems in his camp The Poetry of Suess & Silverstein. Girls will write poems of their own and create their own book of poetry with Dr. Collins, who is famous at SCA for his own poetry writing. The camp is the week of July 9 from 9 a.m. –noon and cost $100 for girls rising into grades 5-8. To register for these camps and to see a full listing of camps offered at Camp St. Cecilia, visit www.stcecilia.edu. Contact Camp Director Amie Pike with any questions at pikea@stcecilia.edu or (615) 298-4525.
