Fifth through Eighth grades have watched “West Side Story” and are discussing what a musical is, how the story is told through music, and how the plot of the story relates to the plot in Shakespeare’s “Romeo and Juliet”.

Fifth grade is continuing their study of music composers, by reading about Aaron Copland and Duke Ellington, and then writing and performing a skit to tell their stories.

Sixth through Eighth grades will be working on a drum ensemble.
