St. Matthew School offers a strong academic program committed to excellence in the areas of religion, language arts, mathematics, science, social studies, art, music, physical education and health.  Expectations are high for all students to develop as readers, writers and thinkers.  The curriculum at St. Matthew School is an integrated program where fundamental communication skills are emphasized with a hands-on, minds-on, cyclical method of instruction.  Students develop patterned, logical, higher-level thinking and are instructed to make observations and apply knowledge through the scienfific process of inquiry.  Reading, writing, speaking, listening and logical thinking are emphasized.  The St. Matthew curriculum is incorporated with enhanced computer technology.  Students in grades three through eight are taught an enriched computer curriculum and learn to integrate classroom projects with current technology.
